June 21st & July 5th, 2008
Come join us again this year for our two, low key, training runs on portions of the TRT course. As in the past, we will initially meet on both dates at the Tahoe Rim Trail Trailhead on the north side of US 50 at Spooner Summit (NOT WITHIN THE SPOONER LAKE STATE PARK). Please plan to arrive early enough to be prepared for an 8:00 a.m. start.
The run on June 21st will be approximately 21 miles. We'll shuttle from Spooner Summit to the TRT trailhead on the Mt Rose Highway, then run south back to Spooner Summit. The July 5th run will begin and end at Spooner and will be approximately 25 miles (or 31 if you add in the Red House loop).
We will have two staffed aid stations on both training runs. And as usual, we'll have post run food and beverages waiting for you. In order to cover the cost of the aid station and post run refreshments we'd appreciate a $10 donation from each runner.
Please email us at
tahoedwc@sbcglobal.net if you plan to attend so we can make sure to have enough supplies on hand for everyone. We hope you can join us. Oh! and you're invited to join us even if you're not registered for this year's run.
Events such as the Tahoe Rim Trail Endurance Runs would never happen without our wonderful, giving volunteers. If you're not running this year, you're here to support your runner or you're someone that just want to give back to the sport of ultra running then we could sure use your help. Please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Renee Gorevin, by email at
rgorevin@yahoo.com to volunteer.
