| View along South Upper Truckee |
DESCRIPTION
An all-road out-and back of up to 10 miles distance. Not a favorite
run but one we do weekly in winter (with an option to try Old
Myers Grade instead) because it is usually free of snow and wide enough to
run on safely. The road is actually quite pretty at the far end and you can add the
extra 2-mile distance by running 1 mile up to HWY 89 in the summertime.
The buff-and-tough will want to challenge themselves to run the whole thing without pause
but the rest of us need to stop and take in the view (some of us want more view stops than
others). However you do it, after a trip to the top and back, you can truly say "I made
The Grade"!

Definitely NOT dog friendly as the shoulder is narrow and the traffic swift. Choose Old Myers Grade
if Rover must come with you.

| |
This is a residential neighborhood.
The only opportunity to take a leak in private comes at about 4 miles in.

This is an all-road run.
