| View of Reno from the Basque Monument |
DESCRIPTION
So far, the only run we've repeated in the Reno area is Rancho San Rafael Park.
Although the park is located south of Interstate 80, a tunnel connects the park to the
Peavine Mountain where plenty of cow tracks lead up into the hills, You pass the
Basque Monument and will have wonderful views of the Truckee Meadows and Reno
below you.
| |
Dog friendly, But you might want to leash him near Interstate 80 as there are gaps in the fence.
|
| |
Bushes are the only rest areas here.

and proceed 1 mile to the stoplight at North Sierra Street. Make a very sharp left onto North
Sierra Street and drive 0.3 mile to the entrance to Rancho San Rafael. Turn right into the park.
